Recently the process of partnership has been changed and made online from November 2017. Partnership registration has been a lengthy and tedious process all through this years. But to simplify this process the Registrar of Firms has made the process online although physical submission of documents is required to be done thereafter at respective office depending upon place/ area.

  • List of basic documents required for Partnership Registration: 
  1. Partnership Deed (In English)
  2. Partnership Deed (In Marathi)
  3. Authority Letter (Signed by all Partners)
  4. Covering Letter (With Rs. 5 Stamp Fee signed by all partners)
  5. Blank Stamp Paper (Rs. 100 in the name of partnership or nay 1 partner)
  6. Online fees to be paid and receipt generated
  7. Other Documents as per requirement
  • Following are the general instructions and procedures for registration of partnership:

General Instructionsto fill up Form “A” for New Registration

1. Click on New Register link of ROF Login page i.e. (the following screen shall appear)

2. Create a User ID & Password (New ID is required for Each Firm) and fill in the basic details required i.e, user profile details, contact details, correspondence address and user account management (for your user id and password details). The following screen shall appear.

3. Click on Activate link sent on your entered Email ID

4. Login with your USER ID&Password

5. Click on Form “A” tab from left navigate menuoptions.

6. Fill in the required information.

7. Do not write followings in the name of Firm.

  1. Messers
  2. M/S
  3. Indian
  4. Inc.
  5. Incorporation.
  6. .com
  7. .In
  8. .org
  9. Association
  10. Society

8. Fill the column in Marathiproperly. (Marathicomes automatically in PHONETIC English.Use back button to avail the options. One can use Marathi Key Board or copy and paste from other resource.)

  1. Name of firm.
  2. Fill in Nature of Business as per the Marathi TranslatedDeed.
  3. Address of firm should be writtenin full with Pin code.

(This is a really tedious task and one is advisable to take professional help and automatic conversion from English to Marathi may differ and create spelling mistakes which may get your application rejected or revised again)

9. Click Submit Tab

10. Upload following relevant documentsaccordingly.

  1. Authority letterif submitted by C.A. or Advocate.
  2. If Company registered under The Indian CompanyAct is a partnerthen a copy ofMemorandum of Articles & a copy of Resolution authorizing one of the Director to sign on Deed and Forms (Notice: Ifform A is modified kindly take out new print of full Form Aand getFresh Attestation)
  3. Partnership Deed (English & Marathi).

Once the uploading is done below you will find a tab for Form A (ensure all the details have been filled correctly before making payment online, you can also modify Form A before making online payment)

11. Make relevant payment online(The payment for Fresh Form A is Rs. 1600/- plus service charge of Rs 20/- and 9 % CGST & 9% SGCT of Rs. 1.80 each totaling to Rs 1623.60/-)

  • The modes of online payment are broadly classified into the following 4types:

a) Wallet

#Paytm - For which a 1% transaction fee shall be charged for any amount.

b)Net Banking

(i) Pay Govt. India (All Banks) –

# For which Rs. 5 transactions amount upto Rs. 500

# Rs 10 per transaction for payment from 501 and above. Pay Govt. India (All Major Banks, NDML for Govt. of India).

(ii) ICICI Banks and (All Banks) -

# Rs. 5 per transaction payment.

(iii)  Yes Banks and (All Banks) –

# Rs. 2.5 for per transaction payment.

(iv) Paytm-

#INR 3/- (For all banks)

c) Credit/ Debit Card

(i) HDFC and All Banks Credit/ Debit/ Master/ Visa/ Rupay –

# Credit Card Payment – 1% per transaction for any amount.

# Debit Card Payment – 0.75% for amount less than Rs 2000 and 1% for amount greater than Rs 2000.

(ii) PayGov (Credit/Debit Card) / Master/ Visa/ Rupay –

# Credit Card Payment – 1% per transaction for any amount.

# Debit Card Payment – 0.75% for amount less than Rs 2000 and 1% for amount greater than Rs 2000.

 Pay Gov India, NDML for Govt. of India

(iii) ICICI and All Banks Credit/ Debit Card –

# Credit/ Debit Card Payment – 1.15% per transaction for any amount.

(iv) Paytm –

 # Credit Card Payment – 0.90% per transaction for any amount.

# Debit Card Payment- 0.75% for transaction < 2000 & 1% for transaction > 2000

(v) Yes Bank and All Banks Credit/ Debit Card –

# Credit/ Debit Card Payment – 1% per transaction for any amount.


(i) Pay Gov India –

# Rs. 5 for transaction amount up to Rs. 5000.

# Rs. 7 for transaction amount from Rs. 5001 to Rs. 25000.

# Rs. 8 for transaction amount from Rs. 25001 to Rs. 50000.

# Rs. 9 for transaction amount from Rs. 50001 to Rs. 100000.

Only in English of all partners. The address of partners should be residential and their current address as mentioned in the English Deed


Date of joining of all partners should be in accordance to the English partnership deed and should be on or after the date of stamp duty


Duration of the firm. In case there is any other provision made by the contract forthe duration of the partnership or for the determination of the partnership, please statethe provisions briefly.If no such provision is made, words 'At WILL' may be stated



(i) For the registration of each firm a separate application is necessary.Accordingly the applicants should supply into this application only particulars of Firmin respect of which the application is made.This applies to the case of the samepersons carrying on business partnerships under different Firm names.

(ii) Against principle place of business and incase of any other branch or place where the firm carries on business in the same namethe exact location of the place should be given.

(iii) This application must be signed by all partners or their agents speciallyauthorized on this behalf on solemn affirmation before a Magistrate or other officerduly empowered to administer Oaths.

(iv) Makinga false, untrue or incomplete statement is punishable under section70 of the Indian Partnership Act,1932.

14.Take print out of Form “A” on Green Ledger Paper. Every partner should sign on each page of Form “A” before designatedauthority likeNotary & Upload it to click on My Application, click Upload link on record of Upload Notary column.

Once the Form A is uploaded online enter the Notary Details like Name, Address & Registration No.Also kindly submit Form & other documents within 7 days from the day of online submission otherwise your login ID will be blockedThe documents are to be submitted in the respective office. Further check uploaded notary before clicking on submit button, after submission you cannot upload notary.Also do take a Xerox copy of Covering letter for acknowledgment purpose.

  • Bring / post the attested form along with following documents in the office: 

a.Covering letter alongwith ₹ 5/- Court Fee Stamp.
b. Certified copy of Partnership Deed. Deed need not be attested. But if attested date of execution and date of signature of Notary should be same.
c. Certified copy of Marathi Translated Deed. Please submit proper translated deed. 
d. Blank Stamp Paper of ₹ 10/- or more. 
e. True Copy of License if required or an Undertaking in Affidavit form on appropriate stamp paper. 
f. (Notice: If form A is modified kindly take out new print of full Form A and get fresh Attestation.)
